I had so much fun drawing this back in April. I used a calligraphy pen dipped in india ink on watercolor paper to draw this design. I found I could be more fluid with my lines. I ended up drawing about 10 different versions of cacti, but this one was my favorite. This final piece was not sketched out, it was drawn free hand, and for that I think that's why I love it so much.
After burning this image onto a screen, I screen print the cacti using 4 different inks. Purple, magenta, yellow, and sky blue. This process is called a color blend. Each towel is slightly different, making them unique and special. I love the ombre effect of this process. Enjoy the photo showing how this process is done.
Details about the towel: This towel measures 27"x27", is made of 100% cotton, and is printed using waterbase inks right here in Laguna Beach by me.
Wash Intructions: you can wash these however you like. They are pre-washed and will only shrink a little bit.
