Free Coloring Pages

Brynne Cogorno

Hello everyone,

With everything going on in the world, I wanted to share several FREE printable coloring pages with you. These are for all ages, both children and adults. Coloring is a form of meditation, and it can reduce stress and anxiety. It’s relaxing, and honestly it just takes your worries off your mind. Enjoy, and please pass these along to your family, friends, neighbors, honestly, anyone you can think of. In the upcoming days, I will be working hard to brainstorm how I can make free art tutorials. Stay tuned. xoxo, Brynne

P.S. I want to see your finished pieces! Post them on Instagram or facebook, and tag me @backwardprints

Also, If you love the designs I’ve included, and you want a little more, you can purchase my Coloring e-Book. You’ll be supporting me and my small business which I’d be entirely grateful for.

6 Things that Make Me Feel Calm

Brynne Cogorno

IMG_0285.PNG

Things are kinda crazy right now, right? Even with all the uncertainty of things going on, I think it’s important to take a moment to think of the things that make you feel calm and happy. Read more bellow.

Because I can't seem to sleep. . . I made this in bed while @harleyjthefrenchie snored on my chest. I was thinking about the things that make me feel calm, especially with everything going on. I'm holding it together but there is a part of me that is having a hard time trusting what's to come. So, I'm going to focus my energy on the positive, and the things that make me feel calm and happy.. 🌼

Love Yourself

Brynne Cogorno

Learning the art of doing whats best for myself, you know that thing called self love? I finished this painting yesterday, it was so much fun to create.  I love painting, I don't think I do it enough anymore. There is a lot of exploration that you learn about yourself when you slow down and take care of your body including it's needs and wants. Every day is a great opportunity for growth, and transformation, and I love that.

Learning the Art of Healing

Brynne Cogorno

I recently threw my back out which is no fun by any means.  I've learned so much in the past month about taking care of myself and the art of healing.  Here is what I've learned in a nut shell:

  • slow down
  • have faith
  • everything is going to be okay
  • breathe
  • ask for help
  • inch by inch
  • rest
  • forgive
  • be present
  • listen
  • trust
  • reach out to family and friends
  • meditate
  • journal
  • visualize yourself healthy
  • change up what's not working in your life
  • let go
  • acceptance
  • be grateful
  • self care
  • animals are amazing healers
  • get a massage
  • accupunture
  • physical therapy does wanders

I'm doing so much better today.  I take one day at a time. One breath at a time.  I've learned who my true friends are.  I'm getting better at asking for help.  Change can be scary, but change is good.  I have to believe that time will heal all, and I know my body is magnificent.  Sending you all lots of love, good thoughts, and healing energy.

Love, Brynne

My Love for Meditation

Brynne Cogorno

The thing about meditation is: you become more and more you.

The thing about meditation is: you become more and more you.

I wanted to let you know that Oprah and Deepak Chopra started a 21 day meditation challenge on Manifesting True Success this past Monday, March 16.  If you're interested in giving this a try, I highly recommend it.

I speak from my heart when I say that as an artist, I have the worst time focusing on my work -- I'm the queen of procrastination.  A few weeks ago, I decided to come up with a new plan.  A plan to wake up earlier, go for a walk, meditate, and do yoga.  I did this for 2 weeks with success, and then hit a rut, and reverted back to my old ways.  I'm back at it again this week, and I'm feeling great.  I have to remind myself that I am the most important person in my life, and by waking up earlier in the morning, I'm giving myself some very valuable "me time."

Every day is a new day to wake up and be grateful.  Anytime you feel distracted, sad, lost, stressed, take a moment to go inside and connect from within.  You always have your breath, and by breathing in and out slowly, you will feel more calm, and centered.  It's taken me a long time to understand that by meditating, I'm going home.  I am safe, free, and loved. Give it a try, and see how you like it. Feel free to share your journey with me.

with love, Brynne
