About me:

I started an eco friendly stationery business in 2009. All my cards were hand carved and printed on the most darling tabletop etching press. I started out doing art shows in my home town, and traveled to other near by cities. I began wholesaling my cards to boutiques, yoga studio’s, and my local art museum. Wholesaling my collection was a terrific way for me to generate extra income in the early stages. I started screen printing in 2010 taking classes at Saddleback Junior College, my local JC. I learned how the foundations of screen printing and after taking the class 4 times, I took a leap of faith and made myself a setup at home. I didn’t have a lot of money at the time, so I built my first 1 color press, and printed in the kitchen.

A year later, a friend gifted me his handmade 4 color press which I used happily for 6 years. I’ll dig up a photo on my phone and attach it here. :) It wasn’t until about 5 years ago that I bought my first Workhorse 1 color press from Mclogan’s Screen Printing Supply. I had a good friend of mine build me a custom table for it and it’s housed in my garage. She’s a beauty! I mostly work with water based inks, using brands like Jacquard and Permaset Aqua. I love both of these inks so so much. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see that I show these inks quite a bit.

When I started to screen print at year 3, it opened up doors and helped me grow my business in profound ways. I went from making 3 figures to 4 figures within a year. I started printing on women’s tanks, kids tee’s and tote bags. I was so excited at the endless options of things I could print on. I noticed my customers were happy too. What I mean is, every year they came to the art festival where I was showing at, they were buying 1-2 items from me, for I knew I had to create new items every year to keep those return customers well, coming back. My customers were in love with my tanks! The yoga movement was huge then, and I got smart and started reaching out to my local yoga studio’s. I was wholesaling my women’s collection in 3 yoga studios! I even did pop-ups at Yoga Work’s which was one of the largest Yoga Corporate Chains in California.

My notecards were selling really well from the beginning. I had a product that stood out. Cards that you could plant. I had a friend reach out to me and mention I should sell them at Nordstrom’s. I thought the idea was crazy and far out, but thanks to her I proceeded to try and get my foot in the door. To clarify, I didn’t think she was crazy, I just didn’t believe in myself about my product at the time. I really appreciate her for believing in me. I owe her a big thank you! It wasn’t an easy task getting my cards in Nordstrom, but I’m a Taurus and I don’t give up easily. Eventually, the buyer of the home department emailed me and said we both went to the same University. The one time going to Cu Boulder helped me with my career! I started wholesaling my cards at 1 store, then 3, and then 3 months later, I was selling my notecards in 50 Nordstrom locations across the US. To this day, this is one of my highest achievements that I’m very proud of.

In 2016 I started selling tea towels which later I wholesaled. I have an eye for design, and I deeply care about my product. My customers come back year after year supporting me. My dad taught me the importance of being the best in my field, and I know I am the very best at what I do.

Last year, 2022 was the first year I made 6 figures. And I plan on continuing to do so in years to come. If you believe you can, you will, that and if you are willing do show up, work hard, and keep going no matter what, I believe you will reach your goals eventually.

I’m so excited to work with you. I’m more than confident I can help you live the life you always dreamed of.

Sincerely, Brynne
